Working with the Amen Trust (see their web site here) the library is collecting shoe boxes to send to families living in poverty in Romania. The contents can be for children and/or adults and you can help bring a little joy into their lives by donating items from the list below. We also need the actual shoeboxes (standard size). There is a large tub in the library for drop off. Thankyou!

- Notebooks, pencil sharpeners
- Coloured pencils, wax crayons, rulers
- Hats, scarves, gloves
- Hair-brushes, combs, slides, ribbons, scrunchies
- Flannels, soap, deodorant, shampoo
- Toothbrushes, toothpaste
- Colouring books
- Balls (tennis-ball size)
- Tiny toys e.g. cars, small dolls, Barbie dolls, small soft toys
- Wind-up torches
- Jewellery
- Needle cases, sewing things
- Skipping ropes
- Scissors
- Money for postage (£2 per box)
- Wrapping paper
