This short video, made in 2016, showcases some of the work and events within the library. It was made by the Sheffield U3A Video and Documentary Group.
In October 2016 a group of Architecture students from Sheffield University produced some proposals for expanding the library. They also ran a pop-up cinema event which attracted a fair number of people despite a distinctly cool October evening.
Our Farmers and Artisan markets showcase produce and crafts from local producers and are popular events. This video, made in April 2017, gives aflavour of the events.
Our 2017 Readathon provided a mix of story-telling and craft. This one was based on the Horrid Henry books
In March 2018 John Watterson entertained us with the songs of Jake Thackray. He also included a little ditty by Richard Stilgoe called “Joyce the Librarian” and was kind enough to return to the library to make this recording.
