Lowedges Lowedges Community Library is located at The Meeting Place, formerly known as the Terminus Cafe, which is run in partnership with The Terminus Initiative. The library is operated by the Friends of Greenhill Library, the group of volunteers who run the “parent” library in Greenhill. Start up of the library was funded by an award from the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
The library is managed by Catherine, our engagement and events co-ordinator, who joined us in January 2022. We have a good selection of over 1,200 books – thrillers, crime, biography and more, and a collection of audio books. We have a great assortment of children’s books and we give away books for free in boxes outside the library.
We have a laptop and printer for public use. Printing costs 2p per side for black and white and 5p per side for colour. We can also supply batteries for NHS hearing aids and offer free tea and coffee. To use the library you will need to register. Registration is free, but adults need to bring some proof of address.
Opening hours:
Monday 9-12.30 and 1.30-4
Wednesdays 9-12.30 and 1:30-5
We have a great range of weekly activities, including free breakfasts and adult reading and craft groups. For details of our activities and events, see our Lowedges Activities and events page.
