Logging in to the OPAC

Our “Yellow Sticker” library system includes an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) which you can use to search our Yellow Sticker stock by author or title. To access this, browse to greenhill.salcirc.org.

You can log in to the OPAC by setting a password. Once you’re logged in, you can also:

  • find out what books you currently have checked out
  • renew books you currently have checked out
  • place a hold on a book that is checked out to someone else
(and be notified when it’s available)
  • make purchasing suggestions
  • and more.

You will need your 9-digit library card number and your account must have an email address set.

  • Click the login button on the OPAC home page. This is the little man near the top right corner of the page. Depending on your screen size you may also see the words “Log in to your account”.
  • On the next screen, click on “Reset your password”
  • On the password recovery screen, enter your library card number in the “Login:” box and click Submit.
  • A recovery email will be sent to the address registered to that card number. (This step will fail if we don’t have your email address.)
  • Click on the link in the recovery email you receive. Enter your chosen password then enter it a second time to confirm it.
  • You can now log in to the OPAC using your card number and the password you just set.
  •

If you have difficulty with this, ask the front desk to set a password for you. (You will still need to show your library card.)

Also, a reminder that the front desk staff will place a hold for you if you don’t want to use the OPAC.
