Library Update 23 July 2025
Have you registered for our scarecrow festival yet? It’s free and it’s fun to do. This year’s festival will run from 23 Aug to 6 Sept. and the theme is recycling. Join in the fun and get yourself on our scarecrow map here.
The online public access catalogue (OPAC) for our yellow-sticker collection is at greenhill.salcirc.org. Here, you can search the catalogue by author, title or genre. You can now also create a login, allowing you to place holds, renews books, and more. There are detailed instructions here.
Aided by excellent weather, our Open Gardens weekend (14/15 June) was a huge success and raised over £2,200. Thanks to all the gardeners who took part and all those who bought tickets. Thanks also to Kristi for all the behind-the-scenes work. There are photos here.
Our monthly lottery provides a way for you to support the library via a regular monthly donation, and a chance to win cash prizes. You can register online using this link, or pick up a paper registration form from the library. June’s winners were Linda Stevenson and Julia Greenwood.
There are a number of ways you can support the library financially. Visit our support page for more info.
