Library Update 7th August 2022

Huge thanks to the many volunteers who worked hard to make our “Oz” day such a success, and to all those who came along to join in the fun. Together, the quilt raffle and the event raised £1,700. Lots of photos on our Oz page.

Our new mural from artist Grace Jandrell is finished. Do come and take a look.

Our Open Gardens weekend went down well — we sold over 200 tickets and raised £1850. Our thanks to all the gardeners and to those who visited.

Our pre-school events Storytime and “Sing and a Story” are now paused for the summer holidays and will restart in September. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for an announcement.

Our weekly Craft club and Coder Dojo are also now paused for the summer holidays and will restart in September.

Our library in Lowedges is open on Mondays and Wednesdays. Click here for more info and here for details of our new events program at Lowedges.

Our coffee mornings continue on Thursdays. They run from 10.00 to 11.30  and offer tea, coffee, biscuits, and conversation. Sometimes there’s cake!

We offer free help to use your smartphone, tablet or laptop each Friday morning. Drop-in sessions from 10.00 to 11.30. More detail here. We also have some SIM cards available for people suffering from “data poverty” (e.g. unable to afford the monthly payments for a mobile phone contract). If you know anyone in this position please let us know by emailing support@greenhill-library.org

Registration for our scarecrow festival and competition (13-27 August) has now closed. Check back here on 12 August for a map and voting form.

A good way to keep up to date with what’s going on is to subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter. More info here.
