Library Update 19 March 2023
The bookshop is currently closed due to the building work.
The library celebrates its 60th Anniversary this month, having opened on 28 Feb 1963. See our “sixty years on” page for photos and details of our celebration day on 16 April.
Changes to opening hours: we now open on Thursday mornings, and have extended our opening times on Mon, Wed and Fri — we now open 10am – 5pm.
Our user survey is now live. You can complete it online using this link, or pick up a paper form from the library. Closing date 9 April.
Booking is open for the following. Book online at greenhill.bookwhen.com
- Evening Talk: “The work of Rhubarb Farm” on 21 April
- Live children’s theatre: “Cardboard Cosmos” on 22 April
Our library in Lowedges is open on Mondays and Wednesdays. Click here for more info and here for details of our events program at Lowedges.
Work on our new build is ongoing. Our new windows are now in; all of the four old ones have been removed. Plastering is done. The kitchen is almost complete and tiling is in progress in the toilets. There is still work to do on making good the floors. Expect some noise and disturbance! The toilets are out of action right now; you’ll be diverted to the Portaloos in the back yard.
A good way to keep up to date with what’s going on is to subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter. More info here.
