Status Update

Library Update 23 April 2022

Although mask-wearing is no longer compulsory we encourage you to wear one when visiting the library.¬†Also please continue to use use hand sanitiser before handling books etc. We still have the “sneeze screens” at the front desk.

Storytime (for pre-schoolers) runs on alternate Thursday mornings, alternating with “Sing and a Story” for our very youngest readers. For dates and to book a (free) family ticket online for these, visit

Our coffee mornings continue on Thursdays. They run from 10.00 to 11.30¬† and offer tea, coffee, biscuits, and conversation. Sometimes there’s cake!

We offer free help to use your smartphone, tablet or laptop each Friday morning. Drop-in sessions from 10.00 to 11.30. More detail here.

Our after-school “Coder Dojo” for children aged 8-13 interested in learning to write software is now up and running. We have places for a couple more children. Registration is essential; you can read more and apply for a place here.
