Rocketman

Starring Taron Egerton, Rocketman is a biographical musical film based on the life of musician Elton John. Directed by Dexter Fletcher, the film follows Elton in his early days as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music through his musical partnership with Taupin. The film is titled after Elton’s 1972 song “Rocket Man.”

Tickets are selling fast so pick one up now to avoid disappointment. A suggested donation of £5 gets you refreshments and a raffle ticket. Doors open / refreshments 7.00pm, film starts 7.30

The classic 1955 American musical starring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra, and Vivian Blaine, based on the 1950 Broadway musical by composer Frank Loesser. Hit songs include “If I were a Bell” and “Luck be a Lady Tonight”

Follow the Grinch as he plans to ruin Whoville’s Christmas celebration by stealing all the town’s decorations and gifts, in this 2018 adaptation of the classic book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” by Dr. Seuss. 

From the creators of Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets, and Sing, and featuring the voice talents of Benedict Cumberbatch and Angela Lansbury.

Learn about W.E.S. Turner – his personality, expertise and interests. Learn about the history of glass-making, the role played by South Yorkshire and what made Turner specialise in glass in a city built on steel. See how the past was influenced by the availability of raw materials and energy, uncover the role of technological breakthroughs but also learn how glass manufacture has been moulded by societal changes and 2 world wars. Finally, we’ll examine the glass collection in the Museum itself.

An evening with football journalist and broadcaster Alan Biggs. Alan has worked on national radio and television since being sports editor at Radio Hallam in Sheffield. He has also reported in national newspapers, writes a column for the Sheffield Telegraph and is the author of three books.
